Initial Consultation (no treatment)

£20

Your appointment begins with a thorough consultation. If you have not already completed the online consent form, we will go through this together at the start of the visit. This ensures I have all the essential information about your health, and that you are fully informed before any examination or treatment takes place

I’ll take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, and any concerns you may have about your ear health. I will assess the external structures of the ear and, using an otoscope, gently examine the ear canal to check for wax build‑up or any other issues.

If no wax is present, or if you decide not to proceed with treatment based on my findings, the appointment will conclude with tailored advice to support your ear health.

Consultation & Treatment

£55

This appointment includes everything covered in the initial consultation, with the addition of ear irrigation for one or both ears following 5-7 days application of olive-oil to the affected ear(s).

After reviewing your symptoms, medical history, consent form, and any concerns you may have, I will examine the external ear and use an otoscope to check the ear canal. This confirms whether irrigation is appropriate and ensures there are no issues — such as infection or perforation — that would make the procedure unsafe.

If irrigation is suitable and you’re happy to proceed, I will gently flush the softened wax using warm water at a controlled pressure. This is a safe, effective (NICE recommended) method commonly used in clinical practice. Specialist manual instrumentation may also be used if needed.

Treatment After-Care

(Inclusive)

Following your earwax removal, I will re‑examine the ear canal to ensure everything looks healthy and that the procedure has been successful. You’ll also receive personalised after‑care advice based on your individual needs, including simple steps you can take at home to keep your ears comfortable in the days that follow.

Most people feel immediate relief after treatment, but it’s normal for the ears to feel a little sensitive for a short time. I’ll explain what to expect, how to look after your ears for the rest of the day, and when to seek further advice if something doesn’t feel quite right.

If you have any questions after your appointment — whether it’s about symptoms, after‑care, or future prevention — you’re always welcome to get in touch. I’m here to support your ongoing ear health
